Rectification by HDB Contractor ... Day 3

This Morning I went to Sundial to take a look at my unit. Saw that all the cracks on the foyer area and MBR wall has been plaster already. The contractor has hack out a layer of the crack area and plastered it which I think the cracks will not reoccurred again. Whole place now dusty again...OMG have to mob again. As for the parquet and and windows grill still untouch. Toilet bowl residues has been removed... Noticed that the dust might went into the socket, so I used my masking tape to cover all the sockets... I took my new switches and compared and its the same size. So confirm can use.. The brand is called"Fung Yip Electric"Now will be waiting for the rectification to complete then can start my reno liao.... Still got some items havent purchase.

I have Purchased All Our Electric Lightings liao!!!

Today , early in the morning around 855am met up Baroque sale manager Robin to take measurement for my unit. Afterwhich checking all the defects, we went to Jln Besar to go shopping for Kitchen and toilet accessories. I went to Poo Joo and I find that the price is very reasonable too. But I didnt buy anything so I went to find Royal Falcon. But it is just a small shop n nothing much to look but i just help Jyna to ask for Rheem 25L Water Storage tank which is $260 exclude bracket which cost $60/-.. Then I went to Tai Yong Electric to go look look see see..But to my surprise the price of the lighting is cheaper than D.K which I went yesterday , Miss Lai one of the shop assistant is very helpful and even order drink for us.. In the end , we have bought 12 PLC downlight, 2 Room light , 1 MBR light with Remote control which can on off, Round light 1 for Bomb shelter, 1 for service yard and 1 for Kitchen.. And last but not least bought myself an dining light which consist of 3hanging lamp wif crystal and string.. Look veri cosy .. I also bought 4 spotlight for my display cabinet. End up I have burnt my pocket coz all the things cost $1080... Then went back to Geylang there to DK. Bought whole house Switches for 1 gang , 2 gang and water heater. 1 gang $5 , 2 gangs is $8, 3 gangs is $10 and water heater $13.
My next shopping list will be Sink, Toilet accessories and Water Storage tank...

YES! We have collected our Keys Today at 11.10am at HDB Hub

Yes, today woke up at around 7.50am coz too excited to collect my keys at HUB Hub.

When I was watching "Zao An Ni Hao”, suddenly I felt my sofa was shaking gently and I saw my lighting at my living room was swinging from left to right. I exclaimed “Shit" I can feel that the block is gently shake... 1st time I felt the tremor in Tampines. Not long after, the new reported... I shouted for my wife to wake up.

Reached HDB Hub at 945 am. Straightaway we went to 2nd floor to buy the Fire insurance. But my appointment is still early, at 11.10am. So we went to HDB Habitat to see their show flats. Saw the 2 room flat unit; really suitable for old couple as everything needed all in place. Then at around 1045am, we proceeded to level 1 to take a queue nos (2984) and waited 15 mins for our turn to go in. Inside the room, the lady explained to us the process. All the lady requires from us is OUR Marriage Cert n IC only. We decided to loan $88,000 for 15yrs; monthly installment around $600. After which, we signed and signed on the documents; I feel like a Super STAR... Then we went to 3rd floor to pay for the 3 months conservancy charges ($169.50). We went back to the room and hooray, we are collecting our keys. Total will be 18 keys:

We went to Sundial at around 4.30 pm to meet Deng Shi fu. He was on time & we proceed with the ceremony of door opening. First he chanted before I opened my door. He went in first and told me to take one pineapple and make my wish then roll it into the living room. I did it for 3 times while my wife did it twice. Then my “Fa Gao" and pau were placed in the middle of the living room. We lighted 3 joss sticks each and pray to "Tu Di Gong", five round tray candles was lighted up too. Master Deng was very detailed; he explained to us what our elements; house elements & our lucky color. Then he used some "Temple Holy Water” which was poured into the metal bowl and get us to put the "Tong Qian" ancient coins into the bowl. It was used to chant and ask any spirits to go away because there are people moving in soon. The ancient coins were given back to us after the ceremony. He asked us to keep it safely, when we moved in, we will place it at our "CAI Wei”.... Then Master Deng asked permission from "Tu Di Gong” whether we can "Dong Tu" or not and "Tu Di Gong” agreed. So Master Deng passed me a hammer; asked me to knock the 4 corners inside the bomb shelter to symbolize start of renovation already. He said he will go back & generate one report and meet us 10days later at his office to discuss what color I will use for my wall. And then we went to the opposite temple to cremate the joss sticks and joss paper. We will wait and after rectification finished, we will start our renovation soon.

2 more days to my Key Collection.

2 more days Im getting my keys liao. YES!!! My wife will be engaging Deng Shifu for FengShui . Will be meeting him when I going to open my door. It will be a veri busy week for us coz we will be cleaning up our house and starting to check on the defects this weekend.I hoped I can start the reno before 25 Sept.... will update again..

Yesterday I have passed my IPPT liao

Yesterday , I went to OLD TRACOM to retake my IPPT. Previous attempt passed all but failed chip up. So I went back to re -take Chip up only.. HAHAHA I need 4 to pass but I managed to do 5... SO now can relax for a while b4 next yrs IPPT . In the mean while I will keep jogging and do chip up to prepare for next year. After which I went to Sundial , I went to Blk168B and went to the 16th floor, check for Lilac n see weather their Block has lock up all the door or not. But I went in to one unit n check , they r doing rectification now n I believe by next 1 or 2 weeks, they will complete and handover the keys. And I took some photos and do all the measurement for that unit coz it is the exact layout with my unit. And to my surprise ,its Lilac's unit . So I passed email her the photos and the measurement for the whole house to her. Attend a Fire Preventive course today and learn quite a few things on Fire prevention. When a person is being burnt by fire, DO NOT use water or BLANKET to put off the fire as , it will result a worse burn coz the blanket will stick to the skin n water will make the burnt mark worse. Instead he/she should roll on the floor to put off it. But if we have an fire extinguisher ( must be dry powder form) , u can extinguish for house hold fire... It is the most effective way. And Always OFF all switch instead of leave it on standby mode. Must always check the water Airpot coz, when it has dry up , it will explode n cause fire. So basically off everything instead of leaving it in standby mode.

Rear Coilover noise solved.

Yes, Im back after MIA for one day. Worked from 8am to 8 pm. But Normally I got to reported at 7am and reported off around 9pm... can considered O.T one. But to be honest , in this line which Im doing , O.T for around 2hrs is consider normal. sometime even up to 4hrs... As for night shift, my work start from 8pm to 8am. But normally , I will reach my workplace at 5.15pm, go for a a jog then do some work up. By round 8pm then start work. And I will report off normally at 9.30am.... But to me, I have been doing shift for 10yrs, Im also adapted to shift liao. Logged in forum , wah lao . so many posts. so I read one by one.
Just went to S.T Power to asked him to check my rear coilover. The mechanic is veri helpful , and he dun have this kind of face which lookdown on non performance cars.. After he checked , he told me lots of cars are like that one. So he used some grease and WD40 to lubricate my rear shock absorber for me. And he told me to go n test it , if got sound come back n look for him again. So went to test n immediately the sound disappeared.. so happily go home. luckily under warranty...
Now Im start to slowly pack my belonging which Im bringing over to my new House... by then I will not be rushing to pack and I can straightaway move over. heee kia su right but better then last minute job. Count down to collect my keys: 8 days to go

Busy Busy Busy

Today , I went to Capitol Marketing next to Traffic Police to redeem a KDK 85cm tall remote control fan which has a function can allegru -Buster .. Dun know what's that for. So I used 3900 Shell point to redeem as Im now no more using Shell I scared tat the points might expire soon. Afterwhich I went to Bugis. Parked my car and when I came out I then realized I hav parked at the wrong carpark. I have parked at Bencoolen Centre instead of Burlington Square. Hai... So I went over to Morris to collect my HTS which worth $899. A bit kaisu but I scared later out of stock then cannot claim so went today. After collected, I carried the bulky and weighed 22kg box back to my car. Wah lao my whole arms almost down off. I walked back takes around 10 -15min coz quite far away.But worth it...
When I reached home, I checked on the HTS and the KDK Fans, all in good conditions, not even a scratch at all. So i waited for my Hood n Hob to arrived. At 2.30pm, the delivery man arrived. So upon receiving my goods, I said I wanted to check but he said all packs shld have no problem. And if I find any defects or fault, I can contact R*n*ai. Hence I agreed and he left. Checked on the hood , no problem. But the moment I checked on the hod, I found 3 defects. It has a deep 3cm scratch at the Big burner area. And the black color iron stand ,one part was so clear that they used paint to touch up n somemore different color. When checking the stainless steel parts found that there were some uneven on the front part of the 3 knots. veri clear and it jus like paint came off. To what I know stainless steel shouldnt be like tat. Hence give Rinnai a call and the ger asked me to make an appointment to let their technician see all the defects. Hence I told her I will take pics and email to her. She is quite helpful and friendly. I asked her weather it is a recon set, she said new one . So give her benefits of doubts, I believed her. So juz emailed her and see how she replied me. she just called me to check weather Im using City gas or cylinder types, I told her City gas. She informed me that those cylinder types are not suitable for my Hob to used. SO pls take note if anyone is reading my blog.

Tired coz havent sleep for 24 hrs but I'm veri HAPPY & CONTENTED.

Juz got home not long ago.. Last night I was on for Night Shift. But yesterday 1130am went to Sundial to kapo kapo again. So met up with Jean & Hubby, Apple, rolin & Eriond, Jean & Hubby and Magpng & tw2501 and mei & Hubby. But managed to see n waved to mei & Hubby. They were busy and left Sundial quite early. But managed to chit chat with all the others.. Nice neighbours I can say. All young young couples, that of course included myself... 30 yrs old mah...heee. where bot old old.. la la la la la : )
My wife and I went to Comex today morning after my night shift. Wah lao if I know I wont drive there. Kana caught in the jam not only b'coz of Comex at Kallang stadium. Today was the day for Ironman Triathlon by Aviva. they have closed Nicholl highway and everybody need to re-diverted to suntec. And I was caught in the jam again at along beach rd. So I went to park at Bugis Junction and walked over to Suntec. The moment I entred the hall, I realized that the products they are selling are selling cheaper than normal day... worth to buy but too bad, I cannot buy the whole Comex back...hee Got myself a Norton 360 with a norton cash card worth $10 and also a multi purpose card reader... And can be used for 3 PCs too...
Most happy moment of my life was bought myself and my wife a Samsung 40' TV... hahaha with a 3+ 2 extended warranty and got a HTS FREE. GOing to claim it tomolo as my jazz was parked at Bugis Junction and I got no strength to carry a bulky 18kg HTS back to Bugis from Suntec..

After which , we went to Baroque to look at the Review of my 3D drawing again. Managed to select color for my Kitchen Cabinet and my Feature wall at Foyer n bomb shelter area. There were some minor changes which I need to do for my MBR , TV console and feature wall and also my dining area with my display cabinet ... My ID Robin Toh is a veri nice guy who has lots of patience and veri helpful , willing to help me whichever ways we needed. I would recommend him to ppl who interested in Baroque to do reno for them... Now have to wait for the drawings again. btw this is my 4th review liao. Keep changed here & there and Robin didnt even show his unhappiness instead he advised us on any parts if we are unsure... and he also didnt even rush us to sign the drawings to confirm it...

Finally ,they have cleared up the burnt marks for me!

After my morning shift , I went to my wife's home for dinner.After which we went to Sundial at around 1015pm... show her that actually our blocks lightings are veri bright. And indeed it is much bright then other existing blocks. Let her has a more secure feeling that it wont be that dark when coming back late.Then as usual , I went up to my floor and check at the rubbish chute area. To my surprise, they have cleaned it already but still have some small marks. Im not those fussy type so Im quite happy that they at least make an effort to clean up for me... At the ground floor facing the garden , it is veri windy and we can save a lots on electricity bill if we dun on aircon n have natural breeze instead. If the garden is ready and wif the lighting on,it will be veri nice and scenery will be GREAT.. Can go to the garden and "Pak Tal" heeheee

Its still there!!!!!Urghhhh

Its a brand new day... As usual after I sent my wife to work ,I went to Sundial again coz today is my OFF day... I went to my floor and check on those burnt mark next to the rubbish chute. To my surprise they havent clear at all. Hence went down to the Building Service Centre . Saw that Indian guy again. I asked him why the burnt mark never clear and he told me that his men are busy and will clear it later" To me its a lame excuse coz if I never approach him , he will never clear it. " Hence I asked him to clear it asap. And he agreed. So b4 I leave , I asked for his name as to hint him, if he dun clear I will complain him to his management... Yah I know Im a tyipical Singaporean but I also have to protect my interests, as I have already given him one week to do it But Nothing has been done. I will check on the mark next week again. See if they have cleared it by then. If I reali have this type of neighbour who anyhow burn things and so inconsiderate, then I will be damd "Lucky" I reali hope that my opp unit neighbour wont be like that , Let my guess be Wrong ...

ps: Im not a complain King... Jus that unless Im reali pissed off then I will complain.. hee

Jet Jet at Punggol Sundial

Haha, I brought my Little JetJet to my Block there for Foot Patrol as I was detailed for that particular area. So I also went up to my unit and took a photo Of Jet Jet wif my Main Door. Look Great isn't it? Heard from friend that "Black Dog" can bring Good Fortune to our house if we bring him there to run around the house. But too bad, I still dun have my keys yet. But anyway he has clear my 16th floor area for me, confirm safe , no disturbance from other "things"hee. SO I can said " Huat Ah, Wan Wan ah!!!" Counting down -16 days left to collect keys...

Prices for certain items going up *paiz*

Yesterday, My wife n I went to Goh Ah Bee to meetup wif Jyna n hubby. Check wif GAB n confirmed that Rinnai Products price are going up, even the brochures also stated the new price on the 1st Sept.. Prices went up from a range from $80- $120.. depend wat n which models you r taking.. So now looking where got the cheapest price then get b4 1st September. Now basically everyday got to check up some prices n preparing documents for our key collection... just wondering how the feeling when getting our keys on 13September. Issit the same feeling like getting new car? Now We are counting down for key collection... YES---- 17 days for Key Collection!!!!! *Haiz* still having diarrhoea ... But still going to work tonight. Dun want to take so many MC which will affect my promotion later on... this yr record - 2 day M.C hee GTG... see you....

Today I went to see a doc and got 1 day M.C .Having diarrhoea for the last few days. Doc said that I might have been food posioned. Haiz.... Suppose today I worked morning shift so i took a day off given by doc... Last sat meetup wif Apple, Terter n Hubby n little Phobe... She is so cute and adorable.. If Im hardworking a bit, maybe I already have one liao... hahaha 1st time saw her and found her to be soooooo CUTE... Now wait n see when can i see Mei's son Ayden. should be quite fun if both Phobe n Ayden playing together......
After meeting with them ,I went to proceed and check the rubbish chute on my level, the black marks they havent clear yet... Let see how long they will come out n clean the area for me.... Count down for getting my keys... 18 days to go.....

Sundial 24 August 2007

Today ,after sent my wife to work, so I went to Sundial to kapo .. go see see look look. To my surprise, the basement entrance for my Block Entrance has painted the <<<167B liao... Happy sia,Thought that they forgot to paint for my basement entrance . Then to my suprise, No "bees" at all. Maybe im too early ,coz when I reached there its only around 850am.. So i went to check my floor coz , i suspected my neighbour opp burnt incense paper beside the wall near to the rubbish chute. It has left over those burnt marks n soots nearly the entire area near the wall are stained with the marks. So I proceeded to the Building Service Centre, I told one of the Indian Guy. So he followed me to my floor and take a look.. When he saw the black patch, he shook his head... So I told him to help me to clean up coz it is veri unsightly. He agreed. So he left.So i went to LOOK and SEE Blk 167A, I dun find it has anything unusual or funny... It looks perfect... The front Garden they are still under construction and i can say our all 8 blocks are already completed. Now let see who will be the 1st person to move in... 1st time having my own flat , I felt so excited.....
